participant & distance transfers
Please read our Transfer Information Carefully.
We DO NOT CHARGE any transfer fees as we use the Acitve.com online Transfer System. However there are a few things you should know about this transfer system...
When completing a Participant Transfer the NEW Participant is required to pay the CURRENT Registration Fee. The EXISTING Participant is then refunded their ORIGINAL Registration Fee. So this may results in a price difference!
Yes we agree its not the greatest system and have requested it be changed for a number of years but we are just regarded as a small event in little old NZ on the global scale of things.
To guarantee your Transfer goes through this must be done online BEFORE the 16th August.
Yes that is 3 weeks before the event and often things go haywire in the last few weeks before a race we know this, we have done many events ourselves, so we would like to explain why we have this date:
We are a very very small operation and as such have limited time and resources, but this also means we can provide an event as a GREAT PRICE!
In the last 3 Weeks before the race we need to get the start list to our awesome local printers Broderick Print so that they can print all the Race Bib Numbers (which are personalised), once these are all printed we then need to get those same Race Bib Numbers to our awesome local timing company MyTime to code and attach all the timing responders to these Race Bib Numbers, from there we need to Pick and Pack all the delivery Race Packs, we then need to get all these packs to NZ Post, who then need to delivery them to you during Race Week.
After the 16th August there is no guarantee we can process your transfer, we will obviously try our best but you must realise there is a lot of work during the last few weeks leading up to a race and once again we are a very very small operation.
Event Insurance - During the Online Registration process you will be offered Active.com Event Insurance, if you want that 100% security of your Registration Fee then we advise you take out this option, all Active.com Event Insurance claims will need to be sent directly to Active.com.
You can complete Transfers online by:Clicking on the links contained in your Registration Confirmation Email; orBy logging into your ACTIVE.com Account before the 16th August. If you do not have an ACTIVE.com Account, you will need to create one first. To do this, visit My Events and enter your registration ID in the “Claim your registration” box.
